Welcome to Patti’s Place
Patti’s Place consists of two guest houses, side by side. They are both offered on a self catering basis. Patti’s Place is conveniently located on our neighboring farm, which is ideal for accommodating larger groups or family members attending your wedding. Patti’s Place offers spectacular panoramic views over the Eston and Tala Valley.

Rates are self-catering accommodation only.
CHECK-IN after 12h00.
CHECK-OUT by 10h00 the following day, unless prior arrangement has been made.
On departure please close the guesthouse and drop the keys in the Post Box outside the gate on departure
50% deposit is required to confirm your booking
Please note that FULL payment is required to confirm your booking. Until payment is received in full, your booking is not confirmed as we don’t reserve accommodation based on inquiries.
In the event of a cancellation more than 30 days before the date of your stay, all monies paid will be refunded less 10% admin fee. (10% of the the full booking rate)
If a cancellation is made less than 30 days before the date of your stay, 50% (50% of full booking fee) will be refunded
NOTE: NO refunds will be made in the event of cancellation less than 7 (seven) days before the booked date of arrival.
From Durban
From Durban, take the N3 to PMB
Take the Camperdown/ Eston off ramp
Turn left at the end of the off ramp; continue until you reach a T-junction.
Turn left onto the R603
Travel for approx 16km, passing Tala Game Reserve and the Eston Club
At the 4-way intersection turn right onto the R624 (Eston/Richmond)
Travel for approx. 1.5km.
Look for a sign on the RIGHT HAND SIDE that says, “Sweethome Lodge / Patti’s Place” and turn right onto the dirt road
Travel along the dirt road, keeping left , and this will take you to the Accommodation. Patti’s Place is located on your right hand side thought the automated gate.
From Joburg
From Johannesburg, take the N3 to Durban
Take the Umlaas Rd/ Umbumbulu offramp
Continue on the R603
Travel for approx 18km, passing Tala Game Reserve and the Eston Club
At the 4-way intersection turn right onto the R624 (Eston/Richmond)

The guesthouse is situated on a large flat garden with scenic views that give guests plenty of space and peace to unwind

Eston is a thriving community with lots to offer visitors including: MTB tracks, Ski diving, Fishing, Wedding Venues, Game Reserves & Spa.
All can be arranged on your behalf on request
The Eston Farmers Club has numerous sports clubs and excellent facilities including: clay pigeon shooting, squash, tennis, cricket and hockey
The Shongweni Market is a popular choice for those looking to do some shopping on a Saturday morning before a wedding at Sweethome, or a good spot for a delicious breakfast/brunch. It is a 30 minute drive and is open from 6am til 11am

There is a swimming pool in front of the guest house. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS IS NOT FENCED AND THERE IS NO POOL NET. BE AWARE OF CHILDREN BY THE POOL

Laundry is available on request at an additional cost.

Please lock valuables away and make use of the security gates and lock doors when going to bed or leaving the property.
